Who we are

貴方の願いを叶えたい叶願
叶願ロゴ

Kanattale is a small company in Japan.
Not supported by any big power.
How do you think about Japan and Japanese culture?
Modern technology as like Hi-tech, Machines, Automation with traditional culture as like Sumo, Maiko, Kimono and so on.
As an Japanese, it is very grad to be loved both of Japanese faces. However the traditional culture is danger of extinction.
So, we Kanattale is working to find out the workshops and craft persons and introduce their products in to the world.

Why “Danger of extinction”?

old person

As usual, the craft persons are getting old. It is a reason. Also, the life style of Japanese have changed.
Do you know Tatami? Tatami is a traditional Japanese flooring. Around 20 or 30 years ago, we can see the room that covered by tatami in any houses. It is sure some Tatami workshops are there on any shopping streets.
However time passed, Tatami rooms (we call “washitsu”) has been missed. It is natural, Tatami workshops has been decreased.
As like Tatami, so many “common land scape” of our crafts/products have been missing.
We are thinking this is the timing to save the craft persons and their skills and techniques.

We will do

Kanattale is in Tokyo. And small organization. As natural, we are touching with craft persons and workshops in Tokyo and around.
On the other hand, we has been trying to touch with other regions.
Because we do want to show you the pure “made in Japan products” and “craft mans”.

Why we are particular about “Made In Japan”?

龍神様手ぬぐい

Japanese products are known that “high quality” including modern technology.
That is true (at least we believe so).
Because the craft persons, also engineers has been particular about the details.
It may be the DNA of Japanese.
Traditional crafts are the symbol of the Japanese products, we are thinking.
Then, we would like to keep the symbol and skills.
On the other hand, they craft persons are put their mind into the products.
Happiness, Peace of home, Defence from evils and so on.
Those of the minds are shown in the patterns, colors, materials and so on.
And if you touch the products, you may feel their mind.
Also Kanattale is working with a buddist temple (Setagaya Kannon-ji). Before the shipping, we ask them to pray the products.
And as the evidence, we are “Tenugui” (Japanese hand towel).

What means “Kanattale”?

Kanattale is aiming to bring happy for customers.
So, using Kanji letters “叶願” means “The wish come true”.
And pronunciation is “kanatteru”.
Therefore it is really domestic impression, then “Kanat” means wing in Turkish, and “Tale” in English
